It feels like the very beginning of Spring when the first flowers emerge and there was a bank of snowdrops and daffodils at St John the Baptist Church, Snape.
They were such a welcome sight on rather a grey day that I stopped and actually knelt down to take photos.
We were on our way back from Aldeburgh where where I had bought some really good lamb mince from Salter’s Family Butchers. I wanted to make these lamb koftas with pomegranate jam and tahini by Ottolenghi. We ate them with a watercress salad and a lentil salad and the verve of the pomegranates and the soft, warm, spiciness of the meatballs brightened up the dull day and made me reminisce about warmer weather.
